A Gold color metal and enamel shield shaped device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Quartered Vert and Or; in the first quarter an open book and key; in the second a star; in the third a graduation cap; and in the fourth a diploma, all Gold; attached above the shield, a green scroll inscribed “ENLOE” in Gold letters. Attached below the shield, a Green scroll inscribed “EAGLES” in Gold letters.
SYMBOLISM
Forest green and old gold are the school colors. The shoulder loop insignia is an adaptation of the William G. Enloe High School crest. The book and key elements represent the education obtained, the graduation cap and diploma symbolize the goals of the cadets, and the star denotes the location of the school, Raleigh, North Carolina.
